This year the Awards have been renamed to the Electra Business & Innovation Awards and are made up of industry-based categories.

The Awards will celebrate innovation and best business practice across all industries and sectors in our region. We are looking for businesses that can demonstrate they are ahead of the curve and meeting our rapidly changing world with fresh ideas and solution-focused attitudes.

Industry categories:

• Food production and processing
• Hospitality, entertainment and tourism
• Construction and trades
• Retail 
• Professional and business services, or technology
• Not for profit, community and public services

Sub-categories:

• New/emerging (Less than 3 years in operation)
• Small business (0-11 FTE’s)

Additional categories:

• Innovation - during Covid-19
• Electra business of the year 2020

Further category information:

To be eligible to enter a sub-category you must first have entered an industry category and then opt-in to enter a particular sub-category.

Criteria for entering sub-categories:

New/Emerging - Less than 3 years in operation

Small Business - 0-11 FTE's

Any business that enters an industry category is automatically entered into Electra business of the year 2020 and Innovation - during Covid-19.

Sub-categories, Innovation - during Covid-19 and Electra business of the year 2020 use your industry category entry form as judging information for these categories also, so no additional information is required should you opt in to enter.

Hall of Fame categories are by nominations only.
